Our cuddly toys can be washed by hand or machine. Be careful, they don't like hot water and hate tumble dryers which could damage them.

THE DESIGNER

Véronique Lacaze is an interior designer and graduate of the Arts Décoratifs de Paris. She began her career at Printemps where she became the project manager for the animated Christmas windows. She then began to design the Printemps mascots, the famous characters of the Boulevard Haussmann that, at the end of each year, make children and adults dream alike. It was a magical experience for her. Creating characters for children, seeing them come to life in the shop windows... Véronique Lacaze feels like a real Geppetto!

The beginning

In 2001, she left Le Printemps to fully devote herself to her job as an interior designer. But in 2015, Le Printemps contacted her for their 150th anniversary. She then created for them, as well as for many other luxury brands, the window characters and monumental figures that hung from the building's facade. Fascinated by this universe full of magic, dreams, and imagination, Véronique Lacaze imagined in 2019 a world of endearing and comforting teddy bears with unusual personalities. ADADA was born.

Véronique Lacaze

Véronique Lacaze is the mother of two children, aged 12 and 13. Inspired by the works of Donald Winnicott, she gave both her children, who were still babies at the time, a prototype teddy bear made as part of her early creations at Printemps. Today, these two teddies, witnesses of her children's sorrows and joys, remain the essential elements in the bedroom and still accompany them during their sleep.

100% FRENCH

ADADA teddies are entirely made in France in a workshop located in Brittany. They are sewn and embroidered by hand by passionate craftswomen who have a meticulous traditional know-how. Each piece is unique, marked with the brand name and the pride of its worker. This workshop manufactures for luxury brands, concerned about the environment and quality manufacturing.

the value

For ADADA, the quality of the fabrics used is just as important as the design of the characters. The cuddly toy is an object that the child will keep and carry for a very long time, therefore it must be of very good quality. The embroidery fabrics and threads are woven, spun and dyed in France. They are OEKO-TEX 100 certified. The cuddly toys can be sniffed, nibbled on and cuddled without any danger for the little ones. For their creator, Véronique Lacaze, the choice of proximity is an ethical and responsible choice: "Working and communicating with those who produce reassures me... I like things to remain on a human and intimate scale ».
